Our bucks are a VERY important part of our herd.  We are very choosy - in order to be a sire here, they must have awesome genetics, good conformation and strong, beautiful mammary systems backing them up.  They also must pass these good qualities and awesome mammary systems to their offspring.  Our bucks are listed in order, from eldest to youngest.

Our bucks below are offered out on lease to approved herds at various times throughout the year.  If you are interested in leasing one or more, please contact me.

Camanna LK Royal Blue

We are so excited to have this handsome buck in our herd!  And he just keeps getting better and better with age!  His pedigree is full of champions, beautiful mammary systems, and abundant milk-producers.  He is very sweet and easy to handle, a huge bonus!  His dam is beautiful and has a capacious, well-attached mammary system.

Royal has very correct overall conformation, he is very long and level with a nice rear leg set, tight shoulders, and sharp withers.  He stands on strong, straight legs with excellent feet.  I am also happy with his width and depth of body and spring of rib.  He would look more elegant if his neck was an inch or so longer, but it certainly isn't bad.

Update!  Royal Blue is a daddy! - check out his gorgeous kids on our New Arrivals page!  Royal's kids are simply terrific!  We love their overall conformity!  To date, he has sired 16 does and 13 bucks (19 of his kids inherited his gorgeous blue eyes).  We have kept two daughters (Capriola RB Blue Delais and Winter Sage) and are so excited with how they are maturing.  Can't wait to see their udders!

**Royal Blue's dam in the Camanna herd is now a finished champion!!  She was shown only six times this year and won four grand champions back to back at a large show in Roseburg, OR.  She also won four Best of Breeds and Supreme Best Udder at the same show!!  She took Reserve Grand Champion at another show.  Anna tells me she is a beautiful doe with a productive and easy to milk udder.  Let's hope Roy's daughters inherit those wonderful traits!  :)

**Roy is being offered for sale or winter lease - please contact me if you are interested.

Camanna ZH Red Robin Haze

We are very excited with this addition!  Robin brings with him some very different genetics, lots of udder potential, and. . . moon spots!!  I've wanted to add moon spots to our herd for quite some time.  They are hard to find in this area.  But now we have them!  :)

Robin has very correct conformation.  He is long, level, and dairy with strong feet and legs, sharp withers, tight shoulders, and a long, elegant neck.  I admire his high and wide-open escutcheon.  I would like to see him a little more level over the rump.

Robin should improve MSL's, teat placement, attachments, and capacity.  His dam's udder is quite impressive!  Nearly five months after freshening, his dam was steadily milking a quart every day with only once a day milkings.  She has won several Grand Champion and Best Udder awards.  She came home from the 2007 Oregon State Fair with both the Supreme Best Udder award and Grand Champion doe against some pretty stiff competition!!  Only two of her GCH legs were official but she should be able to finish fairly easily.  Robin also has several maternal and paternal sisters that show and milk very well.

*Robin is out on lease until mid-December to N.H.

**Robin is sale pending - thanks Tisie!

Squaw*Mountain BlueSummerStorm

We are thrilled to add this little buckling and his gorgeous dam to our herd.  This fellow is quite correct and handsome with lots of refinement and dairy character.  His bloodlines are awesome!  His dam is a beautiful doe and is quickly becoming one of my favorites.  Her udder is very beautiful and well-attached with a great capacity as a yearling, a nice medial, super long teats that express easily, and "smooth as glass" fore.  Photos of her udder and also his grand-dam's udder can be seen when you scroll down.

This boy is wild and needs some taming down but I can tell he has the potential to be a sweet buck.  While I am very pleased with his overall conformity and dairy character, he could have a little more width between his hocks but it's certainly not bad at all.  With this potential, I plan on using him extensively in our little herd.  Thanks Lorrie!

Photos of Stormy's dam's udder.  It was her first-freshening and she is 76 days fresh with 13 hours of milk, nursing a single.  She is a bit of a pain to milk so we are not trying that right now.  We are really excited to see her udder develop with further freshenings.  Lots of potential here!

Pictured below is Storm's paternal grand-dam, GCH/ARMCH PromisedLand GoodDay SunShine *M E91, 2*D

Sunshine has produced many quality offspring, several of which are permanent champions in both ADGA and AGS.  She was a Top Ten producer in 2006 with both ADGA and AGS when she produced over 1200 pounds of milk.
